Exciting news, Shadowhunters! According to one of the executive producers Martin Moskowicz, City of Ashes, the sequel to City of Bones will be produced with Lily Collins and Jamie Campbell Bower starring again. The sequel will be directed by Harald Zwart who is currently directing The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones! Here's the tweet with the news:
Deadline also confirms the news, and the site says the sequel has a fall start is planned! From what we've seen of City of Bones so far, Harald is a great choice to direct the sequel! Hopefully, Cassie Clare will help with the sequel just like she is right now for City of Bones.Source:Deadline

Hey there! Have you seen the four season pictures of the four Shadowhunters Chronicles?
- "Taking a break briefly from the tarot card project, I asked Cassandra Jean to draw the four seasons as the four Shadowhunter series I have either written or planned right now — The Mortal Instruments, The Infernal Devices, the Dark Artifices, and The Mysterious TLH." - Cassandra Clare
- 1 Spring: TLH
- 2 Spring: The Dark Artificies
- 3 Fall: The Mortal Instruments
- 4 Winter: The Infernal Devices
"Here TLH takes the season of spring in Hyde Park. In this case, though, I’m not going to name the characters, except that Matthew and James are front and center, and in the background, in a rowboat, you can see Will, James and Tessa. I might revisit this after the Midnight Hei…

We all know that Cassie Clare enjoys giving her fans mini heart attacks, so she decided to release a spoiler picture for City of Heavenly Fire!
The art comes from Cassandra Jean who did a Shadowhunter tarot card collection for Cassie, and it shows who we're assuming to be Jonathan Christopher Morgenstern, Clary Fray's creepy brother. First of all, WHY MUST YOU TORMENT US, CASSIE?? Secondly, WHO COULD THIS BE REFERRING TO?? We would be really sad to see any of the main characters get killed off, but who do you think Cassie will choose?
Vote in the poll and let us know why you think that person is going to be killed!

Hey Everyone,
I was just going through the trailer of City of Bones yesterday when I heard the background music of the trailer and I found it quite intriguing. I went and checked out the soundtrack and it was the three songs that played in the trailer. As of yet, I guess these are the only soundtracks that are out. I will enlist them below.
- John Murphy - Strobe Adagio in D minor
- Radiohead - All I Need
- Jack Trammell - Echelon
These are the three songs that are included in the soundtrack. I found Echelon very Adrenaline triggering :) The video is on youtube but you can see it here as well.Check it out :)

In case you missed it, there was a GREAT live chat today with authors Cassandra Clare, Sarah Rees Brennan, and Maureen Johnson on "Cover It Live" where they answered questions from fans about The Bane Chronicles and even gave little teasers about The Mortal Instruments! Keep reading for a quick recap of what they gave fans!
- The Bane Chronicles will be a book next year, with a SHINY cover. Fans will get to see bits of the cover with every Chronicle installment.
- There will be hints about Magnus Bane's father. Sarah Rees Brennan mentioned, " We definitely get hints about Magnus's father. ;) Cassie is very good at seeding those. She is a taunting mystery writer. ;)"
- There will be a different reader for each audio installment of The Bane Chronicles.

The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones isn't even out yet but apparently fans are getting treated to ANOTHER Cassandra Clare movie in the works! Hollywood Reporter announced that Constantin Films is already working on the prequel for the Mortal Instruments series aka The Infernal Devices!
So far they have hired Stephanie Sanditz to write the screenplay, and they are looking for a directer right now! Even better would be if the next two books in The Mortal Instruments series were adapted. City of Ashes and City of Glass, the sequels to City of Bones, would film back-to-back if green-lit. If The Infernal Devices: Clockwork Angel is green-lit it would most likely be released after those two, but could start production soon after.
That means practically 3 ye…

The moment of truth has arrived, and - if you've been following along at home - you'll notice that we have a clear winner to our Magnus Bane Closet Confidential challenge - Danica h14!Danica's outfit selection definitely carries a silvery glitter theme - from the eye makeup, to the black-and-silver glittery nail polish, and even down to the shoes. Beyond that, we'd almost describe this as Magnus' conservative look, going with mostly neutral, dark grey, and black tones. Like a few other entrants, Danica went with the tight leather pants and a few shirt/jacket options, including a fun flared black tight-fitting black military jacket and a more 80s-esque tan and black coat with cutout elbows. Go check out her descriptions of her selections on…

I have a slight prediction about the sixth upcoming novel to the Mortal Instruments, and it might make sense if you've read the last one.
I think that this will happen:
Maureen said she's killed Camille and she's now the vampire leader of New York. But when Alec had referred to her as "Simon's Maureen" I thought that maybe she's going to go nuts, maybe obsessed, and try to get Simon to go out with her or something but when he rejects Maureen for Isabelle she snaps. I also think that she'll try to kill Isabelle but somehow Alec will end up seriously injuried while saving his sister. I also have a feeling that Camille isn't truly dead and she's up to something big with "Sebastian".
Well...That's my opinion anyway...

Hopefully you've all read (and sobbed your way through) Clockwork Princess!
If you have read it - let's just take a moment to remember how amazing it was, and fangirl/boy!
I have heard some people say that they were disappointed with the ending because they felt like Cassandra Clare was trying to please both sets of fans who were either 'Team Jem' or 'Team Will'.
Imagine being Tessa, and having to watch the two most important people in your life, age and die. Tessa knowingly makes her choices to marry Will, have his children and watch him (and their children) grow old and die. She also chooses to be with Jem for the rest of his mortal life, and Tessa even tells the reader her thoughts (if you can deal with the feels): “…

Hey everybody, Clockwork Princess is just around the corner and there are a few things that everyone could do to make reading it as amazing as reading the others.
Basically, don't start updating the site right away when the book comes out. Not everyone can speed read and for those of us that can't, or can't get the book on the first day it really is irritating to have to close our eyes on wiki for fear of spoilers.
I'm asking everyone to hold off on posting any information found in Clockwork Princess until after March 23rd. That should give people enough time to buy and read the book. This way people can get the book on the second day or third and not have the ending ruined. Thanks everybody for cooperating.

Okay, I love the Shadowhunter Chronicles and this wiki is really important to that. But I've been looking on all the major pages-Clary, Jace, Isabelle, etc.-and that information is...pathetic. I feel like we administrators and all the wiki users have been so nit picky about spelling and grammar that we have forgotten the actual content of the wiki pages.
It struck me when I went on the Charlotte Branwell page a few days ago and I noticed that there was no information whatsoever about what happened in Clockwork Prince. The new book's coming out in a few weeks and the wiki hasn't even given any information about the old book. I put in the general information about what Charlotte went through in Clockwork Prince but I noticed that all othe…

Check it out, Shadowhunters!! Hollywood Crush got their hands on the cover of Cassandra Clare's book (written with her husband Joshua Lewis) The Shadowhunter's Codex and it looks AMAZING!
On the cover is Raziel holding the Mortal Instruments as he rises out of a lake (just like in City of Glass)! Raziel is technically the creator of the Shadowhunter race so it makes sense he's on the cover of the codex.
In case you didn't know, the Codex, referenced in both "The Mortal Instruments" and "The Infernal Devices," is the official guidebook to the world of Shadowhunters. This is Clary's copy, so readers will learn about the warriors' history, demon taxonomy, rune catalog and training manual, and will also get to see some of Clary's drawings and notes…

Hello guys!!!
I was wondering if with the making of the City of Bones film, they are going to make a video game too. Its not the first time something like this happens, for example Golden Compass was made into a movie and game. Can you imagine that?? In my opinion it would be great since it can be seperated from the book plots having a completely new hero but in the same world or it can demonstrate the events in the books but with more fighting scenes.
So whats your opinion???

In other news, Cassandra Clare said herself that “It was very reassuring to come on set and see everything covered in runes and replicated down to the last detail. The movie was definitely made by people who love the books and wanted to do right by them.”
Sounds like the movie is going to be just as great as the books! They've got a great cast lined up, but who are you most excited to see portrayed in the movie (I've got my sights set on …
